7+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I am Fiona. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private and public sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes relationship problems, self esteem and stress, and the particular challenges encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Beeston, Nottingham or Sherwood, Nottingham.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on appreciating and accepting you. It facilitates your openness around the worries you encounter. Client centred therapy aims to help you discover your own solutions.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue concerning your childhood and/or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on appreciating you. It considers you as a whole person and prioritises your unique development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your autonomy.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of coping.
