Over 10 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I'm Ulrike Adeneuer-Chima. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their psychological health. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment appointment helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment session in Tottenham, London.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on understanding and accepting you. It facilitates your openness around the worries you encounter. Client centred therapy aims to help you discover your own answers.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviour. It identifies and addresses unhelpful ideas which perpetuate the problems you experience. The aim of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends cognitive behavioural therapy for alcohol dependence, anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bipolar disorder, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), bulimia nervosa, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (ME), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and substance dependence.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter regarding your early years or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and find a solution which is right for you.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts, feelings and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find suitable methods of managing.
