Over 9 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I am Stephen Robling. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor - I assist individuals and couples with their emotional wellbeing. I have private and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor. My focus involves anger, bereavement, depression and Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), as well as the specific difficulties faced by men and transgender people.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment session enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment appointment in Malton or York.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue concerning your childhood or adult life you discuss. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a difficulty and find a way forward which is appropriate for you.

Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy considers the whole you. It focuses on what it is to be you in the here and now. The purpose of gestalt therapy is to help you heighten your awareness.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on appreciating you. It sees you as a whole human being and prioritises your personal development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your freedom.
