Over 11 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Louise Shuttleworth. I'm a registered psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their mental wellbeing. I have private and public sector experience as a psychotherapist. My focus involves Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder and phobias, and the specific problems faced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting allows you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment appointment in Hove or Preston Park, Brighton.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which issue regarding your early years or adulthood you discuss. The objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a way forward that is appropriate for you.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapies to suit your needs and the problems you encounter. It explores your subjective experiences and choices. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find appropriate methods of coping.
