More Detail

Over 7 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Genevieve. I'm a registered and chartered clinical psychologist - I assist individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a clinical psychologist. My focus involves depression, relationship problems and stress, as well as the specific challenges faced by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment meeting in Clifton, Bristol.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT centres on your responses to your emotions. It fosters your acceptance of your bodily sensations. ACT aims to help you commit yourself to useful change.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and addresses negative ideas which maintain the problems you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for alcohol dependence, bipolar disorder, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and substance dependence.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapeutic approaches to suit your preferences and the problems you encounter. It considers your personal experiences and choices. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-awareness.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the problems you experience. It facilitates you in being aware of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for depression, self harm and substance dependence.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. An objective of psychological therapy is to help you alleviate symptoms.
