Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy

I have provided counselling and psychotherapy for over twenty years with a wide variety of clients and issues, with particular experience in health related issues, including terminal illness, dealing with issues of identity and relationships. Self esteem, depression, and addiction have been common themes I have addressed in depth with clients. In addition, shocking news, life changing events, bereavement and existential crisis have all featured significantly in my counselling and psychotherapy experience.

This provides an opportunity to discuss your needs and concerns and find out if my service is right for you. Listening carefully I draw on my experience in counselling and psychotherapy to tailor my response to the needs of my client. Drawing on a variety of theoretical approaches from Person Centered, Humanistic and Psychodynamic thought, my initial focus is establishing good rapport and a therapeutic alliance to help facilitate the client through a process which is most beneficial for insight, healing and growth.
