Clinical Experience in Psychotherapy
I have been practising as a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist since 1993.
What to Expect during Psychotherapy
The main task of our first session is for both of us to decide whether further sessions might be of help to you. I believe that change becomes possible when, paradoxically, we pay attention to where we are and how we got there. So we will look, at your pace, at your past and your current situation. It is also very helpful to notice the way in which we relate to each other as much can be experienced and revealed in this way. Amongst other things you might expect a psychotherapist to be interested in I additionally have an interest in how humour and also environment impact on you.Clinical Qualifications in Psychotherapy
- UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Humanistic and Integrative Therapist since 2000
- UKCP Accredited Training Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy - Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) (UK) 2000
I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Psychotherapy. I abide by the Code of Ethics of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Code of Ethics of the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC).
Additional Information
You may be concerned about how long it will all take. I am afraid I cant tell you that but I work on a long or short term basis and it is your decision when to leave, however for longer term clients I suggest it is not a good idea to suddenly stop our work, rather work towards an ending.
I also offer supervision to individuals and groups and parent and child meetings. I have been a psychotherapy trainer and tutor for the MA HIP at BCPC.
