Clinical Experience in Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy

Welcome. My name is Kari Carstairs. I am a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Clinical Psychologist (CPsychol) and a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Clinical Psychologist. I help people to address the problems in their lives. My private Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy consulting room is in Bickley, Bromley.

I have been a BPS Chartered Clinical Psychologist since November 1993 and a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist since June 2009, so I have more than 19 years and 7 months of post-chartership experience of working with clients. I also gained experience of working with clients as part of my training. I work with Individuals.

As well as being a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Bickley, Bromley, I have experience as a GP Surgery Clinical Psychologist. I have also worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the USA.

What to Expect during Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy

After an initial consultation in Bickley, Bromley, there is no obligation to continue if you decide not to. We will use the time to consider the particular difficulties for which you are considering Counselling, Psychology or Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. We can see how well we work together. You and I will then be able to decide if my Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy practice is right for you.

The aim of my Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy practice is to attend to what brings you to therapy in a confidential and focused environment. To get the most from Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy you will need to be able to be open to change.

As a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Clinical Psychologist (CPsychol) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Clinical Psychologist, I am trained and experienced in using Contemporary Psychoanalytic Therapy, Couple Psychoanalytic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy to assist people to live more fully.
