Clinical Experience in Counselling

Welcome. I'm Tracy. I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) Counsellor. I work with people to help them make sense of the thoughts and emotions they experience. My private Counselling practice is situated in Godalming. I also practise in Guildford.

I have been a BACP Accredited Counsellor since July 2008 so I have over 4 years and 11 months of post-accreditation experience of working with clients. I'm experienced in working with men and people from different backgrounds and cultures, and helping with the particular issues they face.

As well as being a Counsellor in private practice in Godalming, I have experience as a Charity, College, Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Counsellor.

What to Expect during Counselling

After an initial appointment in Godalming, there is no obligation to continue if you decide not to. You and I may use the safe space to explore the current or unresolved past difficulties for which you seek Counselling. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to decide if my Counselling practice is right for you.

The aim of my Counselling practice is to concentrate on your concerns so you feel heard, respected and supported, develop your knowledge of causes of concerns so you discover what to change or accept and tailor therapy to you and your needs. To get the most from Counselling you will need to be able to be open to change and speak openly with me and reflect.

As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) Counsellor, I am trained and experienced in using Integrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Relational Therapy and Transpersonal Therapy to assist people to get through the difficulties they experience.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling

  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) Counsellor since July 2008
  • Certificate Working with Survivors of Abuse - Centre for Personal and Professional Development London (UK) 2006
  • BACP Accredited Advanced Diploma Integrative Counselling - Guildford College of Further and Higher Education (UK) 2005

I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Counselling. I abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
