Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which matter regarding your early years and/or adulthood you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

NICE suggests DBT for Borderline Personality.

DBT considers your understanding of your ideas and emotions. It encourages your discovery of helpful reactions to your life. Dialectical behaviour therapy intends to help you enhance and maintain your coping abilities.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

NICE suggests EMDR for PTSD.

EMDR guides your eye motions to affect how your brain processes information. The technique endeavours to reprocess your locked traumatic memories. The aim of eye movement desensitisation reprocessing is to desensitise your upsetting memories.


Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of managing.
