2+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I am Zoe Ann Aston. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private, public and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes abuse, bulimia nervosa and self harm, as well as the specific difficulties experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment session in Archway, London or Fitzrovia, London.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide what issue regarding your childhood and/or adult life you explore. The objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the issues you encounter. It facilitates you in being conscious of parts of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to enhance your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression and self harm.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. The intention of psychological therapy is to help you ease symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your ideas, emotions and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find suitable ways of coping.
