Counselling

(1 Review)
Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what matter concerning your early years or adult life you discuss. The aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and discover a solution that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It explores your thoughts, feelings and relevant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover suitable methods of managing.

Thoughts on Mental Health

Panic attacks happen without warning and you may feel you have no control over your own body. This can be very frightening, and fear of the unknown may then lead to you withdrawing from situations or requiring somebody to be with you. You may find that this grows into a belief that if you go anywhere you will have a panic attack, and a psychological cycle begins which can eventually lead to a you feeling unable to leave home for fear of what may happen. If that happens, you effectively become your own prisoner, unable to leave your 'safe place', and this may lead to loss of confidence, low self esteem, depression.

Easy to talk toHelpfulnessValue for Money

"Easy to talk to, she listens to what you say and offers suggestions on how to see things and deal with things. I'd had a huge year and was struggling with poor sleep and anxiety. Tracey helped me deal with how I was feeling and as she did the sleep and anxiety improved. Since I stopped seeing Tracey I've had a busy and stressful few months renovating, and getting a new puppy, but I've coped well and haven't taken any steps backwards, due to using the techniques she suggested. I'm not quite 100% but I know that will come especially now life has settled down again."
