More Detail

4+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I am Tim Poole. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their emotional health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus involves depression, relationship problems and self esteem, as well as the particular issues encountered by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment session in Oxford Circus, London or Tufnell Park, London.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy concentrates on appreciating and accepting you. It encourages your openness around the concerns you encounter. Client centred therapy seeks to help you find your own solutions.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue regarding your childhood or adulthood you discuss. The objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your thoughts, emotions and relevant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover appropriate ways of coping.
