3+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Tim. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their mental wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes depression, and the particular challenges experienced by men.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment session in Loudwater, High Wycombe or Jordans, Beaconsfield.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide what matter concerning your early years and/or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to fit your needs and the problems you experience. It explores your subjective experiences and choices. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-understanding.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious causes of the issues you encounter. It facilitates you in being conscious of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends psychodynamic therapy for depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or find suitable ways of managing.
