12+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I am Susan. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals with their emotional health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes abuse, relationship problems and stress, as well as the particular difficulties encountered by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment session in Edenbridge.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what matter regarding your early years or adulthood you discuss. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the issues you experience. It facilitates you in being conscious of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to increase your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover appropriate ways of managing.
