My interest includes Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and relationship problems, and the particular challenges faced by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment session in Croydon.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which matter regarding your childhood or adulthood you discuss. The objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and find a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you confront. It explores your thoughts, feelings and relevant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover appropriate ways of coping.

Easy to talk toHelpfulnessValue for Money

"Steve has a wonderful way of encouraging you to open up and to feel comfortable talking freely. I felt as though he empathised with me and helped me to look at things from another perspective. Often I would attend sessions not having any real structure in my mind as to what I wanted to talk about on that particular day, but by the end of the session had unearthed feelings that I'd clearly been burying. I never felt judged and would have continued with my sessions had I not had to move to the other side of London."
