20+ Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I am Simon Parritt. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist and a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their psychological health. I hold private sector experience as a counselling psychologist and a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes relationship problems, as well as the particular problems faced by gay transgender people.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment session in Wimbledon, London.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what issue regarding your early years or adult life you explore. The objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and find a way forward that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, emotions and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. The intention of psychological therapies is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your ideas, feelings and relevant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find suitable methods of coping.
