8+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I am Sarvdeep. I'm a registered and chartered counselling psychologist - I support individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private, public and voluntary sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My interest involves depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and panic disorder, as well as the particular challenges experienced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session allows you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment appointment in Bexleyheath or Sidcup.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviour. It identifies and challenges negative thoughts which perpetuate the issues you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for bipolar disorder, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which matter concerning your early years or adulthood you discuss. An objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, emotions and actions. It offers you psychological treatments and mental wellbeing support. An intention of psychological therapy is to help you alleviate symptoms.

"My road to recovery is a painful and slow process. My problems are compounded by my hectic lifestyle. However over the years after a long journey and meeting with many therapists I feel at last I am moving forward through CBT sessions with Sarvdeep. Combined with other relaxing techniques and my weekly sessions with this therapist I feel the gradual end to a lifetime of misery."

Easy to talk toHelpfulnessValue for Money

"Meeting Sarv has undoubtedly changed the course of my life immeasurably. I sought her help after a split up with a really fantastic girl. I was in a terrible situation from which I saw very little light at the end of the tunnel. With Sarv's advice and help in utilising the exercises developed within CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) - I saved a previously doomed relationship, changed my business and have gained back control of my life completely. I have used her methods to improve relationships from all different spheres of my social circle and I am closer with everyone around me. I have never been so happy. I can never thank her enough, however I hope that if you read this review, it will encourage you to take the step forward and contact Sarv for help. You will not regret it!"
