10+ Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I am Sandi Mann. I'm a chartered psychologist - I support individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a psychologist. My focus includes Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and panic disorder, as well as the particular challenges faced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment appointment in Whitefield, Manchester.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and challenges negative ideas that perpetuate the problems you experience. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder and social anxiety disorder.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing guides your eye motions to stimulate how your brain processes information. The procedure attempts to reprocess your frozen distressing recollections. The objective of EMDR is to desensitise your painful memories.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, emotions and actions. It offers you psychological treatments and mental health support. The intention of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.
