7+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I am Sally. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their mental health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist. My interest includes self esteem, and the specific problems experienced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting allows you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment meeting in Barnes, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and actions. It identifies and challenges negative thoughts which perpetuate the issues you experience. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue concerning your childhood or adulthood you discuss. An objective of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and find a solution which is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapeutic approaches to fit your needs and the issues you encounter. It considers your subjective experience and choices. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It considers your ideas, emotions and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate methods of managing.
