6+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hi. I am Robert. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor - I support individuals with their mental wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor. My interest involves depression, self esteem and stress, and the particular obstacles faced by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Holborn, London or Marylebone, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) affect your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and challenges unhelpful ideas that maintain the issues you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends CBT for alcohol dependence, anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self harm.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which matter regarding your childhood or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.
