Welcome. I am Peter. I'm a registered psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their emotional health. I hold private sector experience as a psychotherapist. My focus includes anger, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as the specific obstacles experienced by men.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment appointment in Gosport.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue concerning your early years and/or adult life you discuss. An aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy investigates how you perceive your existence. It encompasses deliberation on your viewpoints, potential and options. Existential therapy aims to help you find significance in your life and the problems you encounter.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing guides your eye movements to affect how your brain processes data. The procedure attempts to reprocess your frozen distressing recollections. The objective of eye movement desensitisation reprocessing is to desensitise your painful memories.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates EMDR for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of coping.
