10+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hi. I'm Paul. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their psychological health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest involves depression, and the particular issues faced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment appointment in Ilkley or West Park, Leeds.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what matter concerning your childhood and/or adulthood you explore. The aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and discover a solution that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to suit your needs and the issues you encounter. It considers your subjective experience and choices. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-understanding.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find suitable methods of coping.
