1 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hi. I'm Michael Beale. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I support individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My interest includes depression and social anxiety disorder, and the particular challenges experienced by men, transgender people and women.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy focuses on your responses to your feelings. It encourages your acceptance of your physical sensations. Acceptance and commitment therapy seeks to help you commit yourself to positive action.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions. It recognises and addresses unhelpful ideas that perpetuate the problems you experience. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.
