What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment session in Shoreditch, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and actions. It identifies and challenges unhelpful thoughts which maintain the problems you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder and social anxiety disorder.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine what matter concerning your early years or adulthood you explore. An aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and discover a solution that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious causes of the issues you experience. It facilitates you in becoming conscious of parts of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to increase your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for depression and social anxiety disorder.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your thoughts, feelings and relevant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover appropriate ways of managing.
