More Detail

6+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I am Liz Bennett. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, self esteem and stress, and the particular difficulties encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment meeting in Waterloo, London, Epsom or Borough, London.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which issue regarding your childhood or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and discover a solution that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious meaning of the problems you encounter. It facilitates you in being conscious of parts of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It explores your thoughts, emotions and relevant events in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or find appropriate ways of coping.
