What to Expect

A preliminary assessment appointment allows you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Chingford, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and actions. It recognises and addresses negative thoughts that perpetuate the problems you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for alcohol dependence, anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder and self harm.

Jungian Analysis

Jungian analysis analyses your dreams and your unconscious. It acknowledges your individuality. Jungian analysis aims to help you increase your self-knowledge.

Psychoanalytic Therapy

Psychoanalytic therapy focuses on the unconscious meaning of the issues you encounter. It fosters your consciousness of some of your unconscious. The objective of psychoanalytic therapy is for you to gain personal insight and use it if you wish to.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of coping.
