Hello. I'm Katarzyna. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their psychological health. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and self esteem, and the particular challenges encountered by women.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and behaviour. It identifies and addresses negative thoughts that maintain the issues you experience. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.


Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue regarding your early years or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and find a way forward which is appropriate for you.
