5+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Jonathan Blease. I'm a registered counsellor - I support individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor. My interest involves Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship problems and self esteem, as well as the specific problems faced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment appointment in Lymington or Lyndhurst.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what matter regarding your early years or adulthood you discuss. The objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and find a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on valuing you. It sees you as a whole person and prioritises your personal development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you recognise your freedom.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

Transactional analysis focuses on the modes you use to interact with yourself and others. It explores the impact of your pre-conscious life plan and how to enhance it. TA aims to help you acknowledge your worth and ability to change.
