13+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hi. I'm James Bond. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their emotional health. I have private and public sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest involves abuse, anger, bereavement and relationship problems, and the specific issues experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment appointment allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment appointment in White Colne, Colchester, Colchester or Wakes Colne, Colchester.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue regarding your childhood and/or adult life you discuss. The objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your ideas, emotions and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or find appropriate methods of coping.

Thoughts on Mental Health

I work with children and young people, and often notice that pets offer the unconditional 'listening' that children value. By being present, the pet provides soothing and can also 'hear' what you have to say without judgement.
