8 Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I am Jacqueline. I'm a registered psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private and voluntary sector experience as a psychotherapist. My interest includes bereavement, relationship problems and stress, as well as the specific challenges experienced by gay men and women.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) affect your feelings and actions. It identifies and addresses negative ideas that perpetuate the problems you encounter. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and social anxiety disorder.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapies to suit your needs and the problems you encounter. It considers your subjective experience and choices. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or find suitable ways of coping.
