3+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I am Hazel Banda. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their mental health. I hold private and public sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus involves anger, depression and self esteem, as well as the specific obstacles experienced by bisexual, business and mixed ethnic background men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment appointment helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment session in Preston.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter concerning your early years and/or adult life you discuss. The aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find suitable ways of coping.
