Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which issue regarding your childhood and/or adulthood you explore. The aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and relevant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover appropriate methods of coping.

"Guy is non-judgemental, and a great listener, and is very empathetic. He helped me work through the challenges I faced as my marriage broke down enabling me to make the right decisions for me and my son. I am in a good place now, and his help was invaluable. Would highly recommend Guy. His understanding of relationship breakdowns is impressive and especially how to put your children first."

"Guy is just so easy to talk to, but he doesn't push the conversation. Made us both feel at ease from the start, and by the end of just a few sessions, he made us feel like it was just a casual chat...but it was so helpful."
