More Detail

12+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I'm Gail. I'm a senior accredited and registered counsellor - I support individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private, public and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor. My focus includes abuse, depression and Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), as well as the specific issues faced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment appointment enables you to see if you are comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Longdon, Rugeley.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue regarding your early years and/or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a solution that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy focuses on valuing you. It considers you as a whole person and emphasises your personal growth. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your autonomy.

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

Solution focused therapy concentrates on finding solutions for the issues you encounter. It examines what helps you, and which steps you can take to effect change. The intention of solution focused therapy is to help you know and utilise your personal strengths.
