4+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I'm Frank O'Donovan. I'm a registered psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their emotional health. I have private sector experience as a psychotherapist. My focus includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as the specific issues experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Wimbledon, London or Southwark, London.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which matter regarding your childhood and/or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a solution which is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy investigates how you perceive your life. It involves deliberation on your perspectives, capacities and options. Existential therapy seeks to help you discover significance in your life and the problems you experience.

Psychoanalytic Therapy

Psychoanalytic therapy concentrates on the unconscious causes of the issues you encounter. It facilitates your awareness of parts of your unconscious. The objective of psychoanalytic therapy is for you to gain personal insight and use it if you wish to.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. The objective of psychological therapy is to help you ease symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your thoughts, emotions and relevant events in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or discover suitable methods of coping.
