More Detail

5+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I am Emily. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and relationship problems, as well as the particular obstacles experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment meeting in Victoria, London.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which matter regarding your childhood and/or adulthood you explore. An objective of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and find a way forward that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the issues you experience. It facilitates you in becoming conscious of aspects of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you confront. It considers your thoughts, emotions and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or find appropriate ways of managing.
