16 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I am Ruth. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus involves stress, as well as the particular difficulties encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting allows you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Maidstone or Whitstable.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which matter regarding your early years or adulthood you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and find a solution that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It explores your ideas, feelings and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or find appropriate methods of coping.
