10+ Years Post-Chartership Experience

Welcome. I'm Rebecca. I'm a chartered and registered clinical psychologist and an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist - I support individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private and public sector experience as a clinical psychologist and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self esteem, as well as the particular challenges faced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment appointment in Wallingford.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and behaviour. It identifies and addresses unhelpful thoughts which maintain the problems you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for bipolar disorder, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and social anxiety disorder.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. An objective of psychological therapy is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your thoughts, feelings and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find appropriate ways of managing.
