4+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I am Malgorzata Bielawska. I'm a registered and chartered clinical psychologist - I help individuals and couples with their psychological health. I have private and public sector experience as a clinical psychologist. My interest includes relationship problems, as well as the particular difficulties encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment appointment helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment meeting in Welwyn or Islington, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviour. It recognises and addresses unhelpful ideas which maintain the problems you encounter. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends CBT for alcohol dependence, bipolar disorder, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychoanalytic Therapy

Psychoanalytic therapy concentrates on the unconscious causes of the problems you encounter. It fosters your consciousness of parts of your unconscious. The objective of psychoanalytic therapy is for you to attain personal knowledge and use it if you wish to.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the problems you encounter. It facilitates you in becoming aware of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to enhance your self-comprehension to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, emotions and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. An intention of psychological therapies is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover suitable methods of coping.

Systemic Therapy

Systemic therapy concentrates on the system of interactions between you and others. It addresses the interactions which perpetuate the relationship conflicts you experience. Systemic therapy seeks to help you enhance how you interact with people.
