Counselling

(1 Review)
Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide what issue regarding your early years and/or adulthood you explore. The aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and find a way forward that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR directs your eye movements to stimulate how your brain processes data. The procedure endeavours to reprocess your locked distressing recollections. The objective of eye movement desensitisation reprocessing is to desensitise your upsetting memories.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends EMDR for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Psychology

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, emotions and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. The intention of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.

"She is very attentive to detail yet patient allowing the patient to come to their own conclusions. She is sensitive to complex issues, careful not too push too hard. She is non-judgemental and brings a high degree of intelligence to the therapy which can be important to bring the focus back to focal issues."
