Hello. I'm Jacqueline Farrants. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I help individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private, public and voluntary sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My interest includes abuse, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as the specific issues experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment session helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment session in Coggeshall, Colchester.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which issue regarding your childhood or adulthood you explore. An aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and discover a solution that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, emotions and behaviour. It offers you psychological treatments and mental health support. The intention of psychological therapy is to help you alleviate symptoms.
