5+ Years Post-Chartership Experience

Welcome. I am Izabel Lang-Marozsan. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I help individuals with their psychological health. I have private and public sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My focus involves depression, as well as the particular problems experienced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment session in Marylebone, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and behaviour. It identifies and challenges unhelpful thoughts that perpetuate the issues you encounter. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what issue regarding your childhood and/or adulthood you discuss. The aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and find a way forward which is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)

Dynamic interpersonal therapy focuses on your unconscious pattern of relating to others. It identifies the connection between your particular pattern and the relationship difficulty you encounter. The purpose of dynamic interpersonal therapy is to help you enhance your interpersonal skills.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, emotions and behaviour. It offers you psychological treatments and mental health support. An intention of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.
