What to Expect

An introductory assessment appointment allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment appointment in Woodford Green or Bishopsgate, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts affect your feelings and actions. It identifies and challenges unhelpful ideas which perpetuate the issues you experience. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends CBT for alcohol dependence, anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bipolar disorder, bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and panic disorder.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what issue regarding your childhood or adult life you discuss. An objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find suitable methods of coping.
