4 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I am Claire. I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist - I help individuals with their psychological health. I have private and public sector experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and panic disorder, as well as the particular problems experienced by Black, business, gay and heterosexual men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment appointment in Chelmsford.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and addresses unhelpful ideas that maintain the issues you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological treatments and mental health support. An intention of psychological therapy is to help you ease symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your ideas, feelings and relevant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover suitable methods of managing.
