11+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I am Chryssa Chalkia. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I have private and public sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest involves depression, as well as the particular problems experienced by business men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment session in Fitzrovia, London or Queen's Park, London.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue regarding your childhood and/or adulthood you explore. The aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to suit your preferences and the issues you encounter. It explores your personal experiences and options. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-understanding.

Psychoanalytic Therapy

Psychoanalytic therapy focuses on the unconscious meaning of the problems you experience. It facilitates your consciousness of parts of your unconscious. The objective of psychoanalytic therapy is for you to attain personal insight and utilise it if you wish to.

Psychology

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. An objective of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover suitable ways of coping.
