What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment meeting in Southwark, London or Streatham Common, London.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which issue concerning your early years and/or adulthood you explore. The objective of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and find a solution that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychoanalytic Therapy

Psychoanalytic therapy focuses on the unconscious causes of the problems you encounter. It facilitates your awareness of some of your unconscious. An objective of psychoanalytic therapy is for you to gain personal insight and utilise it if you wish to.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover appropriate methods of coping.
