11+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I am Celia. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes abuse, relationship problems and self harm, as well as the particular issues faced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment appointment in Bristol or Bath.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what issue concerning your early years and/or adult life you discuss. The aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious meaning of the problems you experience. It facilitates you in becoming aware of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of coping.
