7 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Caroline. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals with their emotional health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, relationship problems and self esteem, and the specific issues faced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session enables you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Hackney, London.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine what issue regarding your early years or adult life you discuss. The aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and find a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious causes of the issues you encounter. It facilitates you in becoming aware of parts of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to increase your self-understanding to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa and depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It explores your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover appropriate methods of managing.
