7+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I am Callum Baird. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor - I support individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor. My interest includes relationship problems, and the specific difficulties encountered by men.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment enables you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment meeting in Freefolk, Whitchurch.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviour. It recognises and addresses unhelpful ideas that perpetuate the issues you encounter. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends cognitive behavioural therapy for depression and self harm.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which matter concerning your childhood or adult life you explore. The objective of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and discover a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on valuing you. It sees you as a whole human being and emphasises your personal development. Humanistic therapy seeks to help you realise your autonomy.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

TA focuses on the modes you use to interact with yourself and people. It explores the effect of your pre-conscious life plan and how to improve it. TA seeks to help you recognise your value and capacity to grow.
