What to Expect

An introductory assessment session helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment meeting in Cardiff or Cardiff.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which issue concerning your childhood and/or adulthood you discuss. The objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and find a solution that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, emotions and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. An objective of psychological therapies is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your ideas, feelings and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover suitable ways of managing.
